I was working on my website logo early today. I have thought about what I should choose as a logo. Should it be my name, simple? Or is something else cool?

Looking over my old pictures, I realized there had so many nature pictures which I took from every place I went. There had some reminded me of the period I had trouble with my sleep when I stayed up very late until midnight and woke up very early in the morning when I could catch nice moment sunrises every day.

It was not a normal day, it was a day I got news from my hometown that my Granddad passed away. However, I was isolated and stuck in HCMc, and couldn't come back home. I am a 1990's generation in VN who didn't experience war but I believe, Covid-19 was fear for everyone in the world, maybe worse than war. I couldn't sleep that night. I looked over the window, to the sky, to the city. Everything was nice but deep in me, it hurt. It was so emotional but I can't describe it. And like magic, the sky was so orange, with a bit of pink, The Sun was so bright and looked like fire, it was a Sunrise, so beautiful and powerful. I love Sunrise, sunset, and Fullmoon. However, to me, Sunrise is a start, a new beginning. Sunrise tells you that everything gonna be ok and always can be started again.

And now, I believe that the same for my life, new thing, new start, new life is rising, bright and powerful...

It's Christmas...

This is the first year I celebrate Christmas in the US, with my lovely husband. We didn't plan many things. I expected it would have been snowing but it didn't. We are now living in a small apartment so we didn't decorate much like a Christmas tree. We bought a small cute red plant from Costco, so it looked like Christmas ;)

However, we spent whole the afternoon making cookies for Christmas Eve. It was super cool and so much fun as my first time doing cookies.

You know what?! People really loved them. I was surprised since I didn't think those cookies could be that yummy. I also got a surprise Christmas gift which I didn't expect I could get. It was a nice hand-knitting blanket, very appreciate.

We also got an invitation to a Christmas party from a friend, played games, and Yankee swap.

Although this year-end in the US, without friends and family or snow and a Christmas tree, I still felt happy spending time with my hubby and new friends. Felt thankful for the good times with them.

What about your Christmas? Feel free to share me :)
